Persona was an Indie Rock trio formed in Zaragoza, in the early 2000s.
First rehearsals take place in January 2002, and one year after, the recording of their first album, the self-released “Persona”, recorded by Kaspas at Monotone Studios. In the meantime, their live debut at Casal del Teatre (Barcelona), and a few months later, at Arrebato (Zaragoza), first of many shows they did at that venue until their last days.
After a very good reception from the local press of their first songs, they record a new track called “Triphase”, for a compilation album of Monotone Studios, in early 2004.
In summer 2005, starts the recording of second album, this time, at Ultramarinos Costa Brava Studios, produced by Santi García & Xavi Navarro. They sign up for BCore and release “Accident” in spring. During the next months, they tour around the country, and “Accident” appears in the top charts of hardcore albums at the end of the year, in magazines like Mondo Sonoro & Rockzone.
In March 2007, they tour around France, UK and Germany, with New York band “Retisonic” (Ex-Bluetip, Swiz). But one month before, César left the band, and Víctor takes the place of him. So, after the european tour, they take a rest for a couple of months.
Next winter, they join again for a new album. The band expand their sound and talk about the turbulent previous years on “Dead Make-Up”, recorded at Garate Studios and produced by Kaki Arkarazo in summer 2008. BCore release the album in January.
Persona launches its new album with fifteen shows around the north country in the next months, receiving great reviews of “Dead Make-Up”, but the band is almost undone.
After a new standby time in summer, Persona say goodbye with a live performance in September 18th 2009, at the “Arrebato” 15th anniversary Fest.
