The “Candid shots” are characterized by spontaneity. Things like technical perfection, the search for clarity or exposing correctly downplayed in favor of spontaneity, capture the “decisive moment” or catch an expression.

The “Candid shots” is probably the most controversial photographic discipline, and I am sure that most of us have participated in discussions about the legitimacy and legality of this type of photography, and we have heard interpretations of the legislation on the subject very different. Mauro picked up on his blog a collection of existing laws in Spain (the entry was written 2007, I don't know if there has been any change in laws) based on a input in Ojodigital.com forum by user Pegaso.

Photographing drops is not difficult, but rather technical and requires a good dose of patience. In this type of photography different disciplines are combined such as macro photography, high-speed photography and action photography. For that, if you want to obtain good results, besides to perseverance and some practice, your need to clearly understand some basic concepts. Therefore, it not only gives us colorful image, but also is a great exercise to learn photography.

With this idea I prepared the workshop “Photographing moving drops”, in which are condensed the material found on the net about the subject and my own experience. First we review the basics of photography applied to this particular case. After that, some possibilities and variables that can play are shown in a very visual way, and they can work as a starting point from which to unleash your imagination. Following are some notes on a easy montage that everyone can try, and also are shown more sophisticated options for the handymen and handywomen. And finally, it comes the practical part and we get down to work with all this stuff.

Then you have the presentation of the workshop. It is very schematic and everything is more clear with some explanations, but I am sure it will be a useful reference to start with this photographic discipline :

And taking advantage of a couple of days ago was the “Intenacional Day Book” I will tell you a bit of the last book I read. It is:
Slightly out of focus, which is Robert Capa (1947), published in Spanish, “Factory“.

Silghtly out of focus (Robert Capa) · model: Romy Arroyo
In this book Robert Capa himself, he left us his particular view of five wars, tells us first hand their experiences during World War II. However, we must bear in mind that this is not an autobiographical novel, because as the author said: “Writing about the truth is obviously very difficult, so I've made in your honor freedom of sometimes pass it and others do not get to it. All events and characters in this book are accidental and are connected in some way with reality”.
The book is written in a pleasant style and fast, loaded with a multitude of anecdotes that make it fun. In addition the texts are accompanied by a good collection of photographs (136 image pages!). If you have not read yet, I recommend it, I'm sure will delight any lover of this genre of novels and any amateur photographer.
